The Farm’s location and terrain allows it to be effectively utilized as an intensive semi grazing livestock farm, integrating Natural free range grazing with feed supplements. The feed supplements are grown on the 40ha arable dry-land camps located adjacent to the second house. Suitable fodder for this soil and rainfall area is sweet lupines and oats. These fodder types is especially high in protein and is the favoured feed for sheep and goats in the area. In the feed barn the fodder is mixed in a feed mixer by adding molasses syrup and occasionally some bales of Lucerne. The integration of the feed supplement with natural grazing and proven Livestock management processes allows the farm to carry larger numbers of animals than the standard carrying capacity of the area.
